Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya–State University of Surabaya has a part in printing qualified principals and educators for Indonesia. Through the Institute for Learning and Professional Development, Unesa in collaboration with the Surabaya City Staffing and Training Agency (BKD) and LPPKSPS held In Service Training (IST) 1: Training of Prospective Principals of Surabaya City in 2021. The opening ceremony was held on Sunday (3/28/2021) at Café Ulala Unesa.
In this event, the Rector of Unesa Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., Head of Staffing and Training Agency of Surabaya City, Tatang Imawan, S.E., Chairman of The Institute for Learning and Professional Development of Unesa, Dr. H. Bachtiar Syaiful Bachri, M.Pd., and his ranks.
There are 26 prospective principals in Surabaya as participants in the educational and training event. From March 28 to April 2, 2021, participants will get a variety of education and training programs that can be a provision for participants in carrying out their duties and functions as professional principals.
In his speech, Rector Of Unesa Prof. Dr. Nuhasan, M.Kes., explained that teachers should be an replicable figure and be role models for all. In addition, it must also continue to develop its capabilities according to the demands and developments of the times.
This era of industrial revolution 4.0, he continued, demands teachers make new leaps in education. "Similarly, teachers, principals should be able to be innovative and creative and highly competitive principals," he said.
For Unesa, the implementation of training on the cooperation program as a manifestation of Unesa's commitment to improve the quality of education in Surabaya and Indonesia.
