Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-There are many ways that can be done to improve the quality of education in the regions, one of which can be by optimizing community service programs such as the UNESA Education Management lecturer team in Probolinggo Regency some time ago.
They provide training (in job) and assistance (on job) in the preparation of school development plans (RPS) to school principals and school development teams under the auspices of the Regional Coordinator for Education, Paiton District, Probolinggo Regency.
Aditya Chandra Setiawan, S.Pd., M.Pd., Head of PKM stated that the training activity consisted of the stage of delivering material with the aim of providing insight and understanding about the results of previous research and best practices related to the mechanism for formulating a school development plan model.
Then proceed with the practice of making RPS according to standards. The signs for the school development program plan must at least meet eight national education standards; 1) school development title, 2) school development background, 3) school development objectives, 4) indicators, 5) school development programs, 6) expected results, 7) required resources, 8) activity steps, and 9) cover.
In addition to direct training, there is also an online mentoring program so that partners have a school development plan in accordance with the vision, mission, goals and objectives of each school. The online assistance is also to ensure the products produced can be useful and applied directly by the principal and the development team in their respective schools.
He hopes that the RPS training can encourage competitiveness between schools in the Probolinggo area, both in terms of input-output and even outcomes. In addition, improving the quality of facilities and infrastructure for each school supports the PBM service process and encourages the improvement of the quality of education services, in terms of school documents in the regions.
The training was part of the community service of the Education Management lecturer team, Faculty of Education, UNESA consisting of Aditya Chandra Setiawan, S.Pd., M.Pd., Prof. Dr. Murtadlo, M.Pd., Dr. Karwanto, S.Ag., M.Pd., Dr. Amrozi Khamidi, M.Pd., and Mohammad Syahidul Haq, S.Pd., M.Pd.
