Unesa.ac.id., Surabaya - In the context of enlivening the month of Ramadan, Sub Directorate of the Center for Science and Technology Disability, Directorate of Unesa Science Center, Surabaya State University (Unesa) held the "Learning to Koran Braille" at the Science Center Building,
Kasubdit PUI Disability, Budiyanto said that this activity aims to provide space for students with disabilities in learning, sharing, and contributing during the holy month of Ramadan.
Professor of the Inclusion of UNESA added, this activity was part of an effort to create an inclusive environment for all students. In addition to learning to recite braille, a series of events also includes recitation activities with sign language for deaf students and other disabilities.
This activity is scheduled to last until March 21, 2025.
Meanwhile, Ibrahim, a student coordinator of disability, became a guide in the Braille Al-Qur'an learning session. He helps participants in understanding the hijaiyah letter makhorijul and guiding them in reciting every letter that has been mapped using braille aids.
he said that studying hijaiyah letters through the braille medium is quite challenging compared to directly reciting this noble. Maybe someone is sick or has other activities. However, those of us who are here are still given health and free time so we can gather to study together, "he said.
