Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya – Holding 56th Dies Natalis of Unesa, The Retirees of Unesa, or called it as IP UNESA held a social service on Saturday (12/12 at the main office of IP Unesa at Ketintang. In the social services, there are 40 retirees got some supplies such as groceries and money.
The Chairman of IP Unesa, Alimufi Arief explained that this activity aims to help unesa retirees who have not been able to overcome their life problems properly. He further added that this condition is experienced by low-income pensioners such as janitors, gardeners, drivers and others.
"This assistance is expected from retirees who are relatively more able to be distributed to IP Unesa to be given to the one who need it. In this pandemic era makes the economic down, they desperately need help to ease the burden of daily life," explained Alimufi.
Among the recipients of this social assistance are retired members or widowers / widowers of IP Unesa, there are 24 people and come from 8 faculties or from the center.
The enthusiasm of retirees to participate helps relatively underprivileged retirees considerable. As chairman, Alimufi said he was proud that fellow retirees could build a social sense of each other.
"I am very proud of retirees who still want to set aside their sustenance for fellow members in need. Even after the handover of aid ended on December 9, but there are still those who want to donate. Of course we will accept it with open arms," he said.
Alimufi said any retiree from Unesa would automatically join IP Unesa. Therefore, he added that the activeness of members can be improved, especially when IP Unesa held various routine activities such as gymnastics and recreation together. On the other hand, the activeness of the members will make it easier for the management of IP Unesa to record the information of every pensioner in Unesa.
Winto, one of the recipients of this social assistance, said that he was grateful to be able to get this assistance. On the other hand, tendik who has been retired since 2009 is happy to be able to gather with colleagues while working at IKIP to Unesa first. As a retiree of Unesa, he also feels proud at 56th Dies Natalis of Unesa is a lot of changes that lead in a positive direction. Such as tendic welfare is more guaranteed, the existence of performance allowances (tukin) and other allowances.
"Hopefully, the welfare of tendik and lecturers can be guaranteed continuously and members of IP Unesa who have contributed to bring Unesa to the current stage can be given birth and mental health," said the retiree from fip. (suryo)
