Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya – Unesa Lecturer and Employee team (Dokar FC) visited Solo to hold a friendly match with the Legion Sekadar Hoby team (Ledarby FC). On this occasion, another friendly match was held with the Dokar FC team as the host.
The friendly match between Dokar FC and Ledarby FC was held at the State University of Surabaya soccer field on Sunday (22/11). This competition was attended by the Rector and his staff, lecturers, and Unesa employees by complying with health protocols.
Ledarby FC which have former Persis and Arseto Solo players, did not make the Dokar FC team nervous. Even though in the early minutes Dokar FC's defense was destroyed, the match was fierce because both teams were both strong and well-strategic.
Vice Rector for Planning and Cooperation, Dr. Sujarwanto, M.Pd., said that the friendly match was held to celebrate the 56th anniversary of Unesa and to establish the good amity with the Ledarby FC Solo players.
Furthermore, Sujarwanto said that this activity was a form of Unesa's branding with its excellence in the field of sports and maintaining the solidarity of all Surabaya State University academics.
In addition, this match can also increase body's immunity during this pandemic.
"In the future, there will be arrangements to make it more systematic for the FC Dokar team players so that they can become a strength for Unesa, as an example of a campus that produces champions, especially in sports field. Unesa students who has sports skills will later have opportunities to get scholarships," he explained.
This friendly match looks even more lively with the presence of Kevin Gomes who is a Borneo FC player and Gomes de Oliveira who is Kevin's father. Also attending in the Ledarby FC team, the vice regency of the Solo police, who also enlivened the game.
Both teams appear to be equally strong in this 3x40 minute match, until the long whistle marking the end of the match and the score remains even, 6-6. (Mufti)
