Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya-The Leadership of Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) participated in the Rector's Friend Tennis and Football Tournament held by Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta on Saturday (03/27/2021). The tournament is an agenda in order to celebrate and enliven the 45th Anniversary of UNS.
The meeting, which was packed in the form of a joint sport, was attended by five Rectors of State Universities in Indonesia. There is the Rector of Surabaya State University, Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes, there is the Rector of The State University of Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Komarudin, M.Si, and there is the Rector of Semarang State University, Prof. Dr. Fathur Rohman, M.Hum. In addition, the Rector of Yogyakarta State University, Prof. Dr. Sumaryanto, M.Kes, and the Rector of Sebelas Maret University, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, SH., M.Hum, as the host. The organization of the executive tournament remains in compliance with health protocols. Tennis matches are held in the morning, while Football takes place in the afternoon.
Rector of UNS Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, SH., M.Hum said he was happy with the tournament. The Rectors of State Universities and the best players in several PTN can show their respective abilities in playing tennis and dribbling on the court. "Alhamdulillah, with this agenda the rectors of PTN can interact, exercise together to be healthy, smart and happy even in the middle of the pandemic," he said.
Rector of Unesa, Prof. Dr. Nurhasan., M.Kes appreciated the agenda. He expressed his gratitude to the Rector of UNS who had held the event and to the Rector of UNJ, Unnes, UNY, who had taken the time for the tournament. According to him, the meeting was not only a routine meeting of the Rector of State Universities. However, it is also a forum for discussion and sharing, so that PTN remains resilient in the middle of the pandemic and remains qualified in the implementation of Tridharma Higher Education.
In addition, it can strengthen collaboration between PTN in giving birth to a variety of innovations and creativity that facilitate people's lives and encourage the progress of the nation. "In addition to collaboration, how universities can also commit and move quickly forward for the sake of a superior society and a more advanced Indonesia," he said.
The man commonly called Cak Hasan continued that the tournament and meeting was indeed a relaxed concept, but contained a lot of experience and a lot of hope in the future. Including, also as a driver unesa to the World Class University and Road to PTN-BH. "Thank you to the rector of UNS for holding this way, friendship as well as sports together.
