Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA - To coincide with National Press Day (HPN), the UNESA FC Team played a friendly match with the Sie Wartawan Sports Journalists Football Team of the Indonesian Journalists Association (Siwo PWI) East Java at the Gelora Putera Lakarsantri Stadium on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. On that occasion, UNESA FC was also strengthened Chancellor, Prof. Nurhasan, M.Kes., in the position of striker and Deputy Chancellor for Planning and Cooperation Dr. Sujarwanto, M.Pd., as a midfielder.
The match, which was colored by drizzle, was sporting. The two teams showed their best performance and traded attacks until the final round, Siwo PWI narrowly won over UNESA FC with a 4-3 score. At the end of the match, the chancellor exchanged souvenirs with the East Java PWI coordinator.

Meanwhile, Sujarwanto stated that the match was a friendly match to strengthen the relationship between UNESA and PWI East Java. The game is also to commemorate with HPN by exercising together. "Especially in the midst of a pandemic like this, exercise is very important," he said.
In addition, the match that took place that afternoon was also an effort to strengthen the synergy between UNESA and PWI considering that the two roles were very important towards Indonesia, which continued to grow and progress. “The campus with its tridharma educates and educates the community and encourages innovations towards prosperity. Meanwhile, Dwi Arifin, as the Coordinator of the Siwo PWI Team in East Java, said that the match was not only a friendly match, but also to prepare for the Solo Mayor's Gibran Cup which will be held on 12-20 February 2022.
