Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya-Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) held charity games for natural disasters in East Java with persebaya legends at Unesa Stadium lidah wetan campus on Friday (05/03/2021). In a friendly match with the theme Of Competing in Solidarity, Sharing in The Donation, Dokar Unesa FC team competed with the Team of Teachers of Physical Education Subjects sports and health (MGMP PJOK) SMA East Java and SSC Rawon team.
The Legends of Persebaya involved include H. Mursyid Effendi, Bejo Sugiantoro, and other important players and coaches of East Java and national sports. Meanwhile, Dokar Unesa FC involved major players such as Rector of Unesa Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., Vice Rector for General and Financial Affairs, Suprapto, M.T., Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Agus Hariyanto, M.Kes., and Vice Rector for Planning and Cooperation, Dr. Sujarwanto, M.Pd.
In addition to competing, the players also auctioned off the most memorable items in the course of their professional careers. Rector Unesa auctioned adidas brand jackets resulting from LPTK Cup champion, Petanque Cheesernas Gold Medal Jacket, and LPTK Cup 1st Champion Shoes at UNP. Dr. Dwi Cahyo Kartiko., S.Pd., M.Kes. auctioned the ABL Finals Referee's shirt and special Olympic World Games USA shirt. Meanwhile, Indonesian national team players such as Rachmat Irianto and Satria Tama each auctioned Persebaya shirts and Adidas gloves.
In addition, The Regent of Lamongan auctioned Yuhronur Efendi's shirt, Agung Syamsul Hadi also auctioned the Boxing Referee and Technical Delegate Sea Games and Asia Games shirts. Meanwhile, there are also Bhayangkara United T-shirts, Uber T-shirts, Official Shoes and Contingent indonesia Sea Games 2015 as well as other items that reached 19 items both from the Unesa team of players, Unesa lecturers and guests.
The items were not long displayed on the auction stage and all immediately scrambled bids to get their own target items. No wonder auctions are decorated with fierce situations putting up the highest prices. Result. the auction generated a total of Rp. 15 million. "In addition to making friendships, most importantly we can donate and help the victims of disasters in East Java," said Prof. Nurhasan., M.Kes.
According to the man who is familiarly called Cak Hasan that so far Unesa has always been agile, alert, and disaster response. Unesa as a campus that cares directly to the volunteers, sending basic needs assistance and trauma healing teams from the Crisis Center Mitigation Unit (SMCC) Unesa. "Beyond that, we also continue to share, namely through charity matches. In addition to donating, we can also invite or collaborate with others in charity," he said.
Funds raised both from the auction of goods and additional donations from the vice rector's ranks will be distributed to the victims of east Java natural disasters through SMCC Unesa. The distribution will be adjusted to the needs of disaster victims in the field, can be in the form of goods or procurement of other basic needs.
The items auctioned, not ordinary items. However, the items are valuable, historic, and have unforgettable memories in the course of their careers. Such as the Special Olympic World Games USA T-shirt auctioned by Dr. Dwi Cahyo Kartiko., S.Pd., M.Kes., for example. The shirt was worn by the owner when bringing athletes with disabilities to the USA in the Special Olympic World Games USA 2015 and managed to bring home as many as 19 Gold Medals for Indonesia.
Vice Rector for Planning and Cooperation, Dr. Sujarwanto, M.Pd. said that Unesa will be ready to collaborate with many of its main parties in helping and providing the best for disaster victims. He hopes that the charity fight can bind the fraternity in sharing, donating and improving collaboration in an effort to provide the best for society, nation and country.
"I believe that the goods of the donators have their own history, therefore we want to give the best we have for our brothers and sisters affected by the earthquake," he said. "Through the auction there is a history, there is a spirit together and we must keep it going forward and thank you everyone," he concluded.
The event was also attended by representatives of Bank BTN, Bank Jatim, the Dean of Unesa, Postgraduate Director Dr. Edy Mintarto., M.Kes., Dr. Bachtiar S. Bachri, M.Pd., and Dr. Diana Rahmasari, S.Psi., M.Si, and other important guests. At the end of the match and the auction process, MGMP PJOK SMA Jawa Timur, and SSC Rawon team added a gift as a symbol of friendship, appreciation, and pride to rector Unesa witnessed by the vice rector, all players, and invited guests as well as the audience of the charity match.
