Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA�The inaugural match of the ASEAN University Games (AUG) in the sport of volleyball brought together contingents from various countries. Myanmar against Thailand, which will take place on June 26 2024, at the Youth Arena, Campus 2 Lidah Wetan.
The women's number from the White Elephant Country dominated the match from the first half by winning 25 points -7 over Myanmar. The fierce match continued into the next round.
Even though Myanmar had a 6-0 lead over Thailand in the middle of the second half, Thailand, with good teamwork, was able to overtake that position through final result 25-11 over Myanmar.
In the third round, Thailand again led the match with points 25-17 over Myanmar, this made the White Elephant team successfully complete its first match in volleyball with a landslide score without reply, namely 3-0 over Myanmar.
Thailand's superiority cannot be separated from the serve, passing, set, spike, block, jump serve, roll shot, blocking, to the back arrow attack technique. they played it very well.
After that, the first match was continued with the second match, the men's number from the Indonesian team against the Malaysian team. Appearing fiercely throughout the 5 rounds, the Indonesian contingent beat the Malaysian team with a final score of 3-2.
Then in the third match for the men's number, there was a Thai contingent that faced the Singaporean contingent.
The ferocity of the volleyball athletes Thai men under the guidance of Coach Anuchate Dongdoumrom, in 3 rounds were able to bulldoze the defense of the Singapore contingent under the guidance of Coach Lim Puay Hwee with a final score of 3-0.
The coach of the Thai women's volleyball team, Surasak Supherm, was not stingy in sharing the secret behind his team's success in today's match. He revealed his strategy in motivating and training his players.
"Our main key is to maximize the potential of all players," explained Surasak. �We train all twelve players with dedication, ensuring they are ready to perform at their best on the pitch.�
One of Surasak's main focuses is strengthening the team's defensive strategy. "We train hard to prepare ourselves for the worst situations in the match," he said.
"We train them to anticipate all possibilities and rotate players intelligently to restore the point difference," he added.
"This strategy proved to be effective, the players showed extraordinary performance and were able to realize all the training we had done," said Surasak proudly.
This success not only made Surasak proud, but also fueled his enthusiasm for reach the next target. "We have big ambitions to beat the Indonesian team in the next round," he said with great optimism.
Surasak is confident that with hard work, dedication and the right strategy, his team will be able to achieve this target. He also praised his players for their hard work and enthusiasm.
The Thai women's volleyball team still has a long way to go in this tournament. However, with Surasak's leadership and the tenacity of his players, they are ready to face various obstacles and achieve victory after victory.[]
