Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya-Faculty of Economics (FE) State University of Surabaya held the first period of 2021 for undergraduate (S-1) and diploma (D-3) programs on Thursday (18/2/2021) at auditorium, Building G6, FE UNESA.
The activity was conducted online and offline which was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Dr. Anang Kistyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., the vice deans of fe selingkung, the head of departments, kaprodi, lecturers and students of FE. On that occasion also the Dean of the Faculty of Economics Dr. Anang Kistyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., accompanied by all vice deans signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Faculty of Accountancy Universiti Teknologi Mara (FA-UiTM).
The Dean of FE UNESA said that the judiciary is the starting point for the career development of the judiciary and the first step for graduates to hone their skills and skills in the era of industrial revolution 4.0. Through completed studies, Dean hopes that his graduates can update their portfolios with study experience in their respective areas of expertise and can make a useful contribution to society.
In addition, it also needs to have adaptability and collaboration. Each person has a competitive spirit and at the same time becomes a person who can fill each other. Then have the ability to read opportunities or problems in the community and able to take advantage of opportunities and answer the problem creatively and innovatively.
"The Covid-19 pandemic has a profound impact on all sectors and the implications are up to the new normal or 'new normal' era that demands us adapt and continue to hone skills," he said. "Although the state of health is not good, but we must be able to continue to adapt and productive," he continued.
Anang told his graduates to keep updating and upgrading skills and competencies in the portfolio. "If you are able to do that continuously, I believe there will be no distance between your abilities and the demands of the existing work," he concluded.
Meanwhile, Ahmad Maginun Arif, an alumnus of the Faculty of Economics unesa who served as the Economic Bureau of East Java Provincial Government said that graduates of FE UNESA should be able to determine their life goals so that science during college can be useful in living in the community.
He said, do not be discouraged, even though the current condition seems difficult. Keep thinking and acting positively and do your best for opportunities in the middle of the pandemic. "After graduation, make career choices carefully and seriously and focus on the specified field, if you become an educator, politician or businessman or whatever, be a creative, solution-based, and integrity educator, politician, or businessman," he said.
