Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya-Universitas Negeri Surabaya continues to consistently expand international cooperation relations with various institutions and foreign institutions. Recently, Unesa collaborated with two campuses at once, namely Universitas Teknologi Mara Malaysia (UiTM) and University of Human Development Iraq.
Unesa's collaboration commitment with two outside campuses was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which was held virtually on Tuesday (23/2/2021).
The event began by singing the national anthem of each country. Indonesia Raya the national anthem of Indonesia, Negaraku the national anthem of Malaysia, and Mawtini the national anthem of Iraq. After that continued with the giving of a welcome representative from each agency.
On that occasion, The Dean of UiTM Faculty of Business and Management, Prof. Dr. Noryati Ahmad expressed his pride to be able to work with Unesa in the field of research. The cooperation can also improve the competence of researchers, but it can also improve the quality of research and the quality of implementation of Tridharma universities in general.
He continued that in the near future, there are already three studies that will be conducted between Unesa and UiTM researchers. "Hopefully this cooperation can strengthen relations between institutions and strengthen scientific relations and research between campuses," he hoped. "I would like to express my gratitude and encouragement to the researchers involved," he said.
Similarly, Unesa represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Dr. Anang Kistyanto, S.Sos., M.Si also expressed his hope for the cooperation. "Hopefully through this cooperation, a knowledge sharing is realized so that it can expand our knowledge and the results of research conducted can be useful for institutions and also the world" he said.
Meanwhile, Vice Rector for Planning and Cooperation unesa, Drs. Sujarwanto, M.Pd said that cooperation with various institutions from various fields and regions and campuses of other countries is important to be implemented in order to share benefits with each other.
"Hopefully unesa cooperation during this and the latest, both with UiTM and UHD is able to improve the quality of development and improvement of the quality of education services and Tridharma universities of each campus," hope Sujarwanto.
The cooperation between Unesa and UHD began with UHD's participation in the UNESA International Forum of University Rector 2020. In the future, the two parties will struggle in cooperation such as the implementation of short courses, webinars, conferences and exchanges of students, employees and lecturers. (Pr. Unesa)
