This year's exhibition has the theme 'Factual Adaptation' which covers three aspects, namely existence, facts and actuality. "The theme was taken from the complaints of friends who took a long time to adapt during this pandemic," said Ach. Soiful, Chief Executive.
Of the various works of art displayed, there is one that attracts attention, which is located on the left side of the exit. The size is 100 cm x 200 cm. This metal craftsmanship belongs to the artist Zaki Kurniawan, an Alumnus of the 2014 UNESA Department of Fine Arts. This metal craft, which shows a visual of snakes eating grass and leaves, tells the story of the gamble of life under pressure.
Like it or not, life goes on from time to time. In this work, the character of a snake that eats grass and leaves is seen, for me it is an impossible thing but it can become possible when we try to process for ourselves and others, "said Zaki.
Zaki hopes that the Sengkuni exhibition can continue to grow and attract more artists and participants from various countries. "The more participants, the more works, the more motivated we are to work and present works that are full of meaning and messages," he said. [UNESA PR]
