Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-In commemoration of Nuzulul Qur'an, the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) held a Tausiah Gema Ramadhan by presenting K.H. Anwar Zahid, Kiai and Caretaker of the Sabilunnajah Islamic Boarding School, Bojonegoro on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the 11th Floor Auditorium of the Rectorate Building, Lidah Wetan Campus, Surabaya.
Regarding the Nuzulul Qur'an, Anwar Zahid said that the word history comes from the word syajara or syajaratun which means tree. In the course of its life, a tree always goes through three stages. Grow, peak and fall. In this phase of life there are pioneers, successors and heirs. In the language of history, he continued, there is a past, present and future. Each has a representative, the past is represented by the older generation. The present and future generations are represented by the younger generation.
"Who is the old man? Humans of the past that are still left in the present are not much hope in the future. Adults are present-day humans who have begun to forget the ideals of the past, but are oblivious to the future. The young generation are future humans who are present today but do not have the burdens and experiences of the past. This generation has a different character. Old people like to reminisce, adults are busy with reality and young people are familiar with ideals and ideals,” he said.
On that occasion he hoped that students would become the nation's hopeful youth. UNESA students must have at least three characteristics as a dude. 1) Upright and pointed. This means that young people and women must be directed to their idealism and critical spirit. So that his feet stepped on the earth, his ideals skyrocketed. 2) always want to surpass anyone. Therefore, youth must be dynamic and creative. 3) protective exclusive. That is, not arrogant and not arrogant. Able to understand one's own strength as well as being able to fortify himself.
UNESA must print and direct youth to become a generation of pioneers not imitators, pioneers not heirs, scavengers not beggars, movers not bullies, who have characters that are not rusty, those who are extraordinary are not ordinary on the outside, who are educated not who are impudent, and who are civilized not barbaric. “UNESA has to print and direct students to have this kind of character. Insha Allah Indonesia will become a developed and prosperous country. Young people and students, if you want to be successful, go to old figures to gain knowledge and experience from them,” he explained.
Ramadan and Nuzululqur'an, must be a momentum to build and strengthen oneself, spiritually and physically. In order for the Qur'an to become an important part of everyday life, of course the revelation must be read, lived and implemented. "Most of us so far have not read the Koran, but just sounded the Koran. Sounding it just moves from writing to speech. While reading moves from writing to speech accompanied by understanding. If you sound it, you can get a reward, but you don't necessarily get guidance," he explained.
Al-alaq, the letter that was first revealed, he continued, the order is not only to read or invite the intellectual dimension, but also to be accompanied by bismirabbika or spiritual dimension by knowing God and all His creations. "What is read, understood and lived is not only the verses of the Kauliyah in the form of the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet, but also the verses of the Kauniyah in the form of all His creations. This holy and blessed month, hopefully it will lead us all to the degree of piety, piety and benefit the community, nation and state," he hoped.
The Echo Ramadhan event for Spirituality and Humanity Improvement is a series of the 58th UNESA Anniversary which was attended by the senate, rector, vice chancellor, dean, director, deputy dean and deputy director, heads of institutions, units and student representatives around UNESA. Prof. Dr. M Turhan Yani, the Chairperson of the Committee, said that the activity started with Qur'an khotmil, donations to orphans, sharing takjil during the month of Ramadan to the community and the academic community and students. This activity was held to take part in the blessings of the month of Ramadan. [UNESA PR]
