Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-For accreditation purposes, the UNESA Teacher Professional Education (PPG) program was visited by the Assessment Team of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) online on 1-2 April 2022. The team consists of Prof. Dr. Ir. Arita Marini, M.E from Jakarta State University and Prof. Dr. Lantip Diat Prasojo, M.Pd from Yogyakarta State University.
The activity was attended by the Chancellor of UNESA Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., along with his staff, the dean, the head of LP3, the head of the PPG center, the GPM team, the head of the LPPM, LP3 educators, PP students and alumni and PPG graduate users.
Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., said that PPG is part of UNESA's commitment in preparing professional teachers. Therefore, it needs assistance. "We hope that the assessors will provide guidance and advice for us in improving the quality of services and the implementation of PPG," he said.
So far, said Cak Hasan, UNESA has always done many things to improve the quality of PPG. One of them is done through the accreditation process. In perfecting PPG formulas, there will be changes adapted to technological developments and digital transformation.
Meanwhile, Prof. Arita Marini said, the field assessment consisted of several criteria, verification of 3B forms, 3A verification after which interview sessions with internal and external stakeholders started with lecturers and staff, students and alumni, and finally interviews with graduate users. .
Chairman of the Institute for Learning and Professional Development (LP3) UNESA Dr. Bachtiar Syaiful Bachri, M.Pd., in his speech said that PPG must be carried out optimally based on the guidelines set by the Directorate of Teachers and Education Personnel.
"In the future, there may be a new formula for implementing PPG, so we all need concern from LPTKs to oversee how LPTKs can contribute professional teachers in the future, of course through a quality assurance process, including through assessments," said the UNESA Curriculum expert.
He continued, one of the PPG references could be 'oriented' to Finland. The country with the capital city of Helsinksi has a quality education, including education and the teaching profession. According to him, although it is not as easy as turning the palm of the hand, UNESA is slowly transforming towards it.
“I am grateful to be one of the Indonesian contingents assigned to study how teacher education there (Finland, ed).
