Unesa .ac.id Surabaya - Preparations that have been carried out since the beginning of 2018 as well as evaluations after participating in the 2018 Energy Saving Car Contest (KMHE) held at the University of Padang in fact produced results. The Bima Cakrawangsa Team from the Faculty of Engineering Unesa consisting of Mochammad Rizal Bakri Bisma Anggara Ata Syifa & rsquo; Nugraha Rian Friansyah Aditya Wicaksono Maulana Ridhwan Firsty Novermia Hany and Fathqiriza Olivia Sudjoko Putri were honored to participate in the 2019 Shell Eco-Marathon Asia (SEMA) which will be held next April at the Sepang International Circuit Malaysia.
The category that will be followed by the Bima Cakrawangsa Team is the electrical prototype category. The category is a category where the cars that are contested are cars with concepts and designs of future car designs that prioritize efficiency. The car used is a 3-wheeled car with electrical energy and also has good aerodynamics so it is expected that the car can go stably and well and has high efficiency.
For the evaluation criteria each team will race at a distance takes 10.33 km and takes 25 minutes. After being able to meet these criteria later the energy consumption used will be calculated and then sought by the team with the achievement of saved energy to be the champion.
The demo and release of the energy-efficient Unesa car which will be included at SEMA 2019 was witnessed directly by the Chancellor Unesa Prof. Dr. Nurhasan M. Kes. Along with other leaders.
Ir. H. Dwi Heru Sutjahjo MT as the supervisor hopes that in the 2019 SEMA event this year the Bima Cakrawangsa Team can enter the top 10 in the international arena because 5 years ago during the SEMA competition in Manila this team was still a beginner.
Meanwhile Mochammad Rizal Bakri as the team leader hopes that the Bima Cakrawangsa Team can get the best results at the SEMA 2019 event and can also get support to conduct further research in order to perfect the current car. (ay/tni)
