Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA–In order to anticipate the spread of Covid-19 in the campus environment, UNESA is taking many prevention and handling efforts, one of which is by installing and implementing the PeduliLindung application QR Code system at every main entrance to the UNESA Building, both on the Ketintang and Lidah Wetan campuses.
The QR Code component was massively installed by the UNESA Crisis Center Mitigation Unit (SMCC) team on October 27, 2021. Every academica community and guests visiting UNESA must have the PeduliLindung application and scan the QR Code both upon arrival and return.
Head of SMCC, Dr. Diana Rahmasari, S.Psi., M.Si Psychologist stated that the implementation of the regulation was intended to detect the condition and health history of the guests and the UNESA academic community. In addition, it can also be the basis for officers in regulating the movement of people and avoiding crowds around the campus environment. "That way, we will no longer worry about guests and the condition of visitors who come to UNESA," he said.
He emphasized that despite the QR Code policy, the implementation of health protocols must still be carried out in the campus environment. Distance, masks and hand washing or using hand sanitizers remain a concern. "That's why we also prepare hand washing equipment, hand sanitizer at every entrance, gate and even corridor," he said.
He hopes that with a number of these policies, he can anticipate and detect the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic early in the campus environment. He appealed to the entire academic community as well as visitors to always apply the prokes wherever they are. Then maintain a clean and healthy lifestyle and exercise or physical activity on a regular basis. "Everything starts from ourselves for the safety of ourselves, our families and others," he said.
