Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-The State University of Surabaya (UNESA) in collaboration with the Surabaya City Health Office conducted a three-dose vaccination for the academic community who received doses of one and two Sinovac on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the LP3 Building, UNESA, Lidah Wetan Campus, Surabaya.
Vaccination begins at 08.00 WIB. The recipients of the vaccine invitations lined up neatly in front of the building to register by attaching a two-dose vaccine certificate certificate and photocopy of ID card.
Dr. Diana Rahmasari, S.Psi., M.Sc., Head Psychologist of SMCC UNESA said that the vaccination was carried out by SMCC's submission to the health office. The dose provided is not much, only about 300 doses. Some of the UNESA academic community were directed to existing centers in each region.
He added that the booster vaccination certainly had different effects on the recipient. However, the effect is not much different from the effect when receiving the first and second doses of injection. "The effect also depends on the body's metabolism of each individual," he said.
The proposal for booster vaccination was deliberately made considering that only about a thousand academics received the previous three doses of vaccination at the Atlas Club, Surabaya on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Apart from that, there are also many lecturers and staff who are over 50 years old.
"They have high mobility in the campus environment, whether for administrative purposes, practicum, or research, therefore they must have more immunity and we immediately give a booster vaccine to be safe and healthy," said Ramadhan Maruta as Secretary of the Crisis Management and Health Division. Mental, SMCC UNESA.
The acceleration of the vaccination is also a preparation for UNESA to hold limited and gradual face-to-face lectures (PTMTB). The hope is that this vaccination can increase immunity and minimize the spread of new variants of Covid-19. Follow the vaccine and don't forget prokes. [UNESA PR]
