Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA–Succeeding in collecting three gold and one bronze in the tennis sport at the LTPK Cup X 2021 is a matter of pride for the UNESA team. This is the UNESA team's highest collection of medals in the LPTK Cup. For this achievement, UNESA leadership held a thanksgiving event on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Gor Tennis, Lidah Wetan Campus.
The event was attended by the Chancellor of UNESA, Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Agus Hariyanto, M.Kes., the chairman of the senate, and the dean of the Unesa environment and the UNESA contingent team.
In the welcoming session, the chancellor said that being a champion in tennis is 'a great thing'. Because, these sports are considered prestigious and are often contested between LPTK leaders. "We managed to win 3 gold medals in the Executive A category and 1 bronze in the B executive category," he said. LPTK Cup X 2021 itself will take place on December 1-6 2021 at UNJ.
In addition, the man who is usually called Cak Hasan also explained several important achievements of UNESA recently. In the 2021 Student Ranking Management Information System (SIMKATMAWA), UNESA managed to rank sixth nationally with an excellent predicate. The news was greeted with applause from the audience.
In his speech, Dr. Agus Hariyanto, M.Kes. who this time became the head of the UNESA Contingent for the LPTK Cup revealed that this year was a lucky year. He told how the UNESA team was not sure it would succeed, but with persistence and a strategy of changing tactics that brought the opponent to their knees. "For the next event, we will continue to improve, in order to continue to improve performance and maintain this rotating trophy," he said while pointing to the two trophies.
On that occasion, Prof. Dr. H. Haris Supratno., M.Pd., Chair of the UNESA Senate advised to maintain health. "Health is something we must maintain, especially for athletes," he said.
He also revealed the importance of regeneration to continue to maintain and improve the achievements that have been achieved by UNESA so far. Good seeds from current students and lecturers need to be developed and facilitated to continue to excel. (Unesa Public Relations)
