SURABAYA—Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (PBSI), Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS), Surabaya State University (UNESA) hosted the East Java PBSI Coordination Working Meeting in the T2 Building Auditorium, Faculty of Languages and Arts, UNESA Campus II , on Thursday, August 22 2024.
The working meeting, which was attended by around 24 PBSI study program leaders throughout East Java, discussed various aspects, one of which was related to collaboration with the Association of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Programs or IKAPROBSI East Java.
Anas Ahmadi, Chair of East Java IKAPROBSI, said that there were two agendas being carried out. First, signing a memorandum of understanding with the product in the form of a text, either an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) or IA (Implementation Agreement).
Second, produce a draft IKAPROBSI work program. The signing of the collaboration was carried out with 24 private or state universities throughout East Java which have Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Programs, both Bachelor's and Master's degrees. The main program form of this collaboration is student exchange, but there are also other programs besides that such as research collaboration and publication collaboration.
“UNESA Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program as the host will strive for togetherness in realizing work programs, improving the quality of study programs, and carrying out collaborative activities." said the UNESA professor of Indonesian literary criticism.
Suhartono, as Deputy Secretary General II of Central IKAPROBSI, said that this activity was a follow-up to the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) and International Seminar in Lombok on 9–11 August Last 2024.
This activity is aimed at strengthening cooperation in various collaborative programs, one of which will be held in the near future, for example a national seminar or academic srawung every month.

He said , UNESA's Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program is the largest study program in terms of educational program potential. Suhartono hopes that IKAPROBSI for the East Java region can run in accordance with the direction of central IKAPROBSI in carrying out all its work programs.
Deputy Dean 1 for Learning, Research and Community Service, Student Affairs and Alumni, FBS, Didik Nurhadi, appreciated implementation of this event. He conveyed his message to all the participants present, to continue to contribute together in providing off-campus experiences for students.
"We move forward together, we provide each other with off-campus experiences to work together. "The cooperation discussed in this working meeting is that cooperation provided can increase good reciprocity," he said.[]
