Unesa.ac.id., Surabaya – Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) was appointed to host the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) in the design of the Grand Design of Sports by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora).
Minister of Youth and Sports Zainudin Amali said that the grand design of national sports became one of the important spearheads in the renewal of the national sports system from upstream to downstream. Through FGD, all issues will be fixed and reviewed in detail by experts.
"FGD is designed and reviewed repeatedly to ensure the system created is able to produce progress and sporting achievements in the country," said Minister of Youth and Sports Zainudin Amali in the opening of the FGD Grand Design Of National Sports on Saturday, (9/1/2021) at jw Marriot Hotel Surabaya.
Through the improvement of the system from upstream to downstream, the Gorontalo-born man is optimistic that the grand design finalization will soon be concluded and become a direction in making road maps and master plans related to the budget. "Grand design is expected to be able to realize progress and achievements in the field of sports. Next we will present to President Joko Widodo," he said.
The violation of FGD grand design sports, not just improving the system and sharpening the talents and interests of athletes in order to be able to record achievements. However, the academic side also needs to be considered.
Deputy Governor of East Java Emil Elestianto Dardak said that sport has an important role in society. Not only fitness but also building character and sportsmanship in society. Through grand design, new breakthroughs are expected to change the old system that is not optimal in fostering potentials as early as possible.

"Indonesia has great potential in the world of sports so it needs to be monitored systematically to choose the best potential. Being in the top 15 of the Olympics is one of our targets. It is not impossible with the grand design that will be studied by important figures in the world of sports," said Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes.
Cak Hasan delivered his familiar greetings, the implementation of FGD grand design still pay attention to health protocols. All committees and participants conducted swab tests, restrictions on participants and committees, as well as standardized health protocols. "All of that is to support the implementation of fgd well," he said.
The series of activities held for 3 days, from Saturday (9/1) to Monday (11/1) at the JW Marriot Hotel includes FGD grand design sports achievements, grand design of recreational sports and grand design of educational sports. Furthermore, fgd results from the 3 themes will be presented or enter the finalization stage on Sunday, (10/1).
The test was conducted by inviting various experts from various parties, including the Indonesian Sports Dean Forum, the Indonesian Association of Sports Professors (APKORI), the Indonesian Association of Sports Masters (AMKORIi), the Indonesian Association of Sports Scholars (ISORI) and representatives of Indonesian Sports Lecturers.
