Unesa.ac.id, JEMBER—Kresna Unesa FC has played the final match of the second round of the East Java League 3 at the Jember Sport Garden Stadium on December 17 2023.
In the deciding match, the 'Home' campus squad The Champions closed the East Java League 3 with a narrow 1-0 defeat to the hosts, Persid Jember.
The match closed the preliminary round in Group H, and the Home Team of the Champions was not yet stuck in the round of 28.< /p>
David Agus Prianto, coach of Kresna Unesa FC, expressed high appreciation for the fighting spirit of his team who had competed for 2 weeks. They saw that their team had fought hard.
"Even though this is still not as expected, this is part of the game. We have to accept and learn from every experience," he said.
He assessed that even though his team won in the last match, Whether or not Kresna Unesa FC passes is determined by the results of the previous match, namely between Pasuruan United and Persema Malang.
Initially, Kresna Unesa FC had a draw with Pasuruan United. Because Pasuruan United is superior to Persema Malang, their team has a small chance of qualifying for the next round.
Teams that have played in League 3 will also be placed in the Unesa Football Student Activity Unit (UKM) so they will still be get further assistance starting from physical, technical and mental.

This is done through routine training at UKM and added with trial matches or inter-university matches. The aim is to improve player chemistry, improve players' competitive mentality.
"We remain optimistic, because football is a sport full of surprises. We will continue to strive to achieve victory and make achievements by building better chemistry between players, " he stressed.
UNESA Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., was present directly at the stadium to provide support to the squad. His party remains committed to remaining involved in football competitions and evaluating match results.
"We are trying to come back next year and revive the Unesa FC Academy to produce athletes who are ready and enthusiastic about competing in football matches," he explained.< /p>
Cak Hasan also emphasized the importance of recruiting talented students to improve team performance. Scholarships will be awarded to students who show potential in football. This is a real step to support and develop the sport of football, especially at UNESA.
Even though it ended in League 3 of East Java, Kresna UNESA FC remains committed to continuing to participate in the Student League or Menpora Cup. The team will continue to train and try to achieve achievements at student level. []
