Unesa.ac.id. BANDUNG--The Indonesian Campus Mosque Association (AMKI) is one of the Government's partners in overseeing superior human resources (HR) in Higher Education through the role of Campus Mosques.
This was conveyed by the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof.Dr. rer. nat. Abdul Haris, M.Sc at the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) and the 20th AMKI Anniversary at the Salman Mosque Complex ITB Bandung on 20-21 July 2024.
Furthermore, according to Prof. Haris, campus mosques play an important role in shaping the academic community into people who are faithful, devout, have noble character, and transform moderate religious understanding.
At the 20th AMKI National Working Meeting and Anniversary in 2024 in Bandung, several important points, including the formation of the East Java Province AMKI Regional Leadership Council (DPW) for the 2024-2028 period.
The management of the AMKI DPW was entrusted to Prof. Dr. H. Muhammad Turhan Yani, M.A., CIRR (UNESA) as Chair of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. H. Muhammad Mashuri, M.T (ITS) as Chair of AMKI East Java and Dr. Kukuh Santoso, M.Pd (UNISMA) as secretary.
The total number of personnel from the East Java DPW who were appointed was 20 people. The inauguration and inauguration was carried out by the General Chair of Central AMKI, Prof. Ir. Hermawan Kresno Dipojono, MSEE., Ph.D (Professor of ITB).
Henceforth, Chair of the East Java AMKI Board of Trustees, Prof. Turhan Yani and AMKI Chair, Prof. Mashuri, together with the appointed Management, will follow up on coordination and develop programs work involving takmir and campus mosque activists in East Java, both from PTN and PTS.
At the 20th AMKI National Working Meeting and Anniversary Dr. (HC). H.M. Jusuf Kalla (Former Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia) as General Chair of the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) was one of the speakers.(*)
