Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-The Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK) together with the Indonesian Chancellor's Forum (FRI), and the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) continue to collaborate in strengthening the value of gotong royong as part of the current government's vision. In this regard, UNESA held the National Cadre Course Volume II some time ago.
Dr. Bambang Sigit Widodo, M.Pd., the person in charge of the activity said that the aim of the activity was to equip Generation Z so that they could contribute to the mental revolution movement among students and the community. The nationality course this time, the strengthening was carried out in the classroom and all participants also went to the field to contribute to the community. The activity was carried out in one of the partner villages, namely Sambong Dukuh Village, Jombang Regency.
As for the series, on Saturday (18/09/2021) the KANIRA (Anti-Intolerance and Radicalism Cadre) team went to the village to carry out dialogue, reflection and mutual cooperation activities involving various elements of the local community. There are pastors from GKJW (Jawi Wetan Christian Church) and GKI (Indonesian Christian Church), Jombang Gusdurian Community, and GENRE Community. Also, there is Kholil Habsyi as the head of the BPD, village officials, students to the local IPNU-IPPNU youth. In total there were about 60 participants.
The resource persons involved were UNESA lecturer, Iman Pasu Marganda Hadiarto Purba, S.H., M.H. On that occasion he explained about tolerance and diversity, as well as the threat of radicalism, intolerance to how to anticipate and resolve conflicts in society. “Indonesia is diverse and this is a gift. Our task is not to question differences, but to respect each other and manage those differences to become a force in building society and the nation," he said.
Gus A'an Anshori, who is the driver of the Gusdurian community, expressed many opinions regarding tolerance, especially in the religious sphere. "To me my religion and to me you are my brothers," he said.
The head of Sambong Dukuh Village, Khoirur Rozikin, welcomed the activity. He hopes that this activity can continue in the future because it is very important in maintaining the sense of unity and unity of the Indonesian people and nation. “I hope that Sambong Dukuh village can become a Pancasila village. That's why we need to work together and continue to do our best going forward," he said.
Meanwhile, the chairman of Gusdurian Jombang, said that the spirit of the Pancasila village had to be realized in many ways. One of them can be by providing funerals for non-Muslims. It can be started from the role of village officials who should be able to do that. He hoped that the activity would not only be held for a day or two, but could be held in a sustainable manner so that the Pancasila village could truly be realized.
The next activity, on Saturday (18/09/2021) held a reflection with the youth, as well as evaluating tolerance in Sambong Hamlet. Almost all elements of the community present voiced their respective opinions about tolerance in the village. On that occasion, various communities agreed to continue to collaborate to realize the Pancasila village.
They plan, on the Pancasila Sanctity Day, October 1, 2021, to hold a declaration of Sambong Dukuh Village as a pioneering Pancasila village which is marked by the plan to build a Pancasila monument.
