Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya–Surabaya State University (UNESA) in collaboration with the Indonesian Chancellor's Forum (FRI) and the Deputy for Coordination of Mental Revolution, Promotion of Culture and Sports Achievement, the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia held the National Cadre Course Volume 2 on 18-20 August 2021.
Dr. Bambang Sigit Widodo, M.Pd., as the PIC of the event, revealed that the activity was attended by around 25 participants. It is a continuation of the national cadre course conducted the previous year. Last year it was a basic level while this year it was an intermediate level course.
He also explained that because the Covid pandemic was still ongoing, there were differences in implementation from the previous year. "This activity is called the intermediate level national cadre course, which is actually a continuation of last year's national cadre course, the basic level," he explained. "This time, there are two student representatives from Ciputra University Surabaya and Ubaya," he said.
Participants in this activity were followed by national cadres who have basic understanding and insight into nationalism and nationalism. The program, he continued, uses the In-On-In model (in service training 1-on the job training–in service training 2). In service training 1 will be held on 18-20 August 2021.
On the job training is planned to be held in three locations, namely Sidoarjo, Jombang, and Trenggalek. Furthermore, the participants in in service training 2 will report the results of the on the job training that has been carried out.
Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes as the Chancellor of UNESA in his speech explained that Generation Z is the generation that will later become future leaders of the country. "Our task now is to prepare all of you as a golden generation that is superior, tough, competitive, productive and innovative," he said. Furthermore, he also encouraged the participants of the second volume of the national cadre course to provide an understanding of nationalism as an effort to stop negative news in the community.
The event continued with the GNRM and Policy Program Orientation (Deputy for Coordination of Mental Revolution, Cultural Advancement, and Sports Achievement of the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture) which was moderated by M. Sholeh. Then continued with material about youth, mutual cooperation and defending the country by drh. Almaedawati Erina, M.Sc.
The Chancellor of UNESA encourages the government to strengthen the values of nationalism and ground the mental revolution program by strengthening national values which include national insight, Indonesian history, nationalism, work ethic, tolerance and so on. (Hasna/zam)
