Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) held the 1st Education and Training (Penlat) for the 2022 MKMB Thematic KKN Students online on Monday, February 21, 2022. The event, which was broadcast live via UNESA's Official Youtube channel, involved around 1,500 students.
Head of MBKM Unit, Dr. Muhammad Sholeh, M.Pd., when opening the event conveyed about policies in the implementation of structured MBKM from national to university.
“Like the jargon, UNESA is one step ahead. In terms of implementing MBKM, UNESA is the best nationally and has become a model for a number of campuses in the country. Therefore, we must really carry out this KKNT as much as possible, multiplying breakthroughs and innovations according to the vision to solve various problems in the field," he said.
He added that UNESA is now expanding its collaboration with various partners and increasing comparative studies with various domestic and foreign universities. The international network is a good opportunity for UNESA, especially lecturers and students in improving their global standard capabilities.
"It is a matter of pride that we are able to participate in various MBKM programs and give our best for village excellence, community progress and a better Indonesia," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the KKN Division, Dr. Nurkholis, M.Pd., explained that the themes that will be carried out at this year's KKNT are; humanitarian, teaching assistance, village projects and independent projects. According to him, the theme is part of the focus or priority of the KKNT program in the field.
He invites students to study and understand the problems at the KKN location, what are the potentials and how to solve them. He also advised that KKN participants could be part of the local residents, having discussions and collaborations.
"There are so many independent business targets that can be used as partners in a cooperation agreement. Of course in accordance with the proposed theme. Moreover, there is a clear organizational structure. That's very good," he said. [UNESA PR]
