Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA - The ideal body shape is a dream for most men and women. However, not all can have it, especially for those who are busy working. Due to the hectic daily routine, exercise and a healthy lifestyle are sometimes not given much attention. In fact, these factors are the key to having a healthy and ideal body.
How to have an ideal body? UNESA discussed it with experts in the Talkshow Body Goals & Regular and Measurable Diet on Saturday, November 13, 2021. This activity was moderated by dr. Niken Sasadhara S., and presented three speakers, namely Lucy Widya Fathir, S.Pd., M.P.d., UNESA Faculty of Sports Science Lecturer, Dr. Donny Ardy Kusuma, S.Pd., M.Kes., Lecturer of the Faculty of Sports Science, UNESA, and Dionysius Subali, Lecturer of Sports Nutrition, Unika Atmajaya.
Donny Ardy said that exercise can help to increase the existing defense cells in the blood. Exercise is also able to increase levels of endorphins or happy hormones and can even reduce stress. According to him, in order to have an ideal body, you must pay attention to several things, including diet. Diet should be run with fun, should not feel forced let alone to feel tormented.
If you are planning a diet, you must apply at least three steps; plan, learn and do it. At the learn stage, you must understand your body and fulfill its needs to get the ideal body. Then at the plan stage, you must plan the healthy intake needed by the body every day; and finally do it, which means that during a diet you must be committed to implementing a healthy lifestyle.
Donny Ardy gives a tip for a beginner who will do sports and who has a chronic disease should only do activities with low intensity. It can be more than four weeks on a regular basis. Then if you have certain complaints, such as stiff shoulders, spinal pain, post-stroke, and others, you need to undergo special sports.
"Don't forget exercise, it turns out that sport, even though cleaning the house, is included in activities too. If we do it regularly every day, it can also increase our immunity, "he concluded.
Lucy Widya emphasized that dieting should not be made difficult because dieting means adjusting your diet instead of reducing the portion you eat. In addition, he invited the participants to be aware of the importance of the quality of the food and drinks they eat every day because everything starts from the mindset. He invites all parties to change the word "diet" from reducing food portions to understanding having a healthy, nutritious diet.
Living a healthy lifestyle can be a 'me time' for active women. It's as simple as listening to music while compiling a meal plan and can be done by friends. That way, living a healthy lifestyle becomes more enjoyable.
Dionysius Subali, emphasized to instill the importance of exercise in himself so that he took time 3x a week to exercise. Consistent in exercising and getting enough sleep will make our bodies healthy and reduce stress. In addition, for beginners there are some light sports activities that can be done, such as walking.
These activities can increase immunity if you do it regularly for half an hour for less than four weeks. There are also types of low-intensity activities that can significantly enhance the immune effect. However, doing it should be routine for half an hour and routine for more than four weeks such as cycling, shopping, and housework. [UNESA PR]
