Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-Stress can come at any time and target anyone, including teachers. The results of the identification of the UNESA lecturer team in Probolinggo, inclusive school teachers there are vulnerable to stress caused by many things.
Overcoming this, the UNESA lecturer team consisting of Wulan Patria Saroinsong, Ph.D from the PAUD study program, Neni Mariana Ph.D from the PGSD study program, Irena Mauren, Ph.D from the ID card study program and Muhammad Nurul Ashar, M.Ed the PLB study program helped teachers deal with stress through stress management training some time ago.
Wulan Patria Saroinsong as the chief executive on December 9, 2021, explained that the training included an online coaching session on stress conditions and stressors, followed by an offline training session on stress management and behavior management for students with special needs (PDBK).
The online training will be held in stages starting in early November 2021, which will be attended by 25 teachers from various inclusive schools in Probolinggo Regency. In the online training, participants gained an understanding of conditions and triggers for stress from Neni Mariana, Ph.D and Irena Mauren Ph.D.
The training was then continued offline at SDN Kalisalam I Dringu, Probolinggo Regency on November 9-10 2021. The same participants gained in-depth understanding and new skills as well as strategies on how to manage stress from Wulan Patria Saroinsong, Ph.D. Then there was also a session on delivering the GDPK behavior management strategy material by Muhammad Nurul Ashar, M.Ed.
Sri Hayati, one of the participants from SDN Kebonagung I said that the training helped them to overcome anxiety during online teaching. He admits that online learning during the pandemic is quite challenging, because it is prone to stress, especially coupled with other conditions.
"So far, we are stressed, so we are stressed because we don't know what to do to deal with it. Now there is a solution from the results of the training," he said.
Meanwhile, Siti Husnul Chotimah as the coordinator of the inclusive school teacher working group hopes that this stress management training can continue because it is very beneficial for teachers.
According to him, the burden of teachers is quite large. Teachers are extensions of parents who want their students to grow and develop well and maximally. "Sometimes in the field there are things that make teachers stressed and it will continue to happen, therefore this training needs to be done regularly," he said. [UNESA PR]
