Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA—The leadership of the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) welcomed a visiting delegation from Taylor's University, Malaysia at the Meeting Room, Rectorate, Campus 2 Lidah Wetan, Surabaya on Thursday, February 22 2024. Meeting This discussed cooperation plans in various fields.
Two delegates from Taylor's University were Dr. Wong Chuan Loo and Dr. Lee Sau Har. On that occasion, Junaidi Budi Prihanto, S.KM., M.KM., Ph.D., Deputy Chancellor for Research, Community Service, Innovation, Publications and University Ranking welcomed the collaboration plan.
< p>According to him, as PTN-BH, UNESA continues to expand its collaboration network with institutions, the business and industrial world, including domestic and foreign universities. There is a lot of cooperation that has been established and is ongoing to encourage the MBKM program and strengthen research and publications at UNESA.The Taylor's University delegation explained that their university was ranked 284th in the QS ranking, as well as being a leading private university in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. They also emphasized their commitment to increasing international cooperation, including through global class programs with various partner institutions.
Discussions between the two parties included plans for implementing the student mobility program next semester, with a focus on August as the implementation time. Apart from that, the discussion also included plans for research collaboration between UNESA and Taylor's University.
During the meeting, the two universities agreed that increasing student mobility would be one of the main priorities of their cooperation. This student mobility program is expected to provide valuable learning experiences for students from both universities.
They can also enrich their academic perspective through interaction with students from different cultural backgrounds different. Apart from that, academic research collaboration is also considered important for broadening scientific insight and increasing research contributions at the international level.
This meeting between UNESA and Taylor's University is expected to be a productive first step in strengthening cooperation. The synergy plan in the fields of student mobility and joint academic research promises great benefits for both institutions, and can have a positive impact in improving the quality of education and research at the international level.
In addition, the two universities are also exploring opportunities to establish partnerships with QS, a highly respected global university ranking organization.
