UNESA.ac.id. Surabaya - in an effort Improving the quality of conferences and publications, Surabaya State University (UNESA) Through the Institute for Research and Community Development (LPPM) held a Workshop Conference Management #1 2025 in collaboration with IEEE Indonesia Section.
Annual Workshops initiated by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) This Indonesia Section was held at Auditorium 6th floor, Rectorate of Unesa, Campus 2 Tongue Wetan , on Saturday, February 22, 2025.
This activity aims to provide initial socialization regarding various aspects of organizing the conference, including the latest updates from IEEE, application procedures and conference approval, IEEE conference standards, as well as strategies to improve Conference quality.
IEEE itself is a publisher in the fields of science and technology, which includes disciplines such as electrical engineering, electronics, computer science, physics, applied mathematics, and other related fields.
Coordinator of IEEE Indonesia Section Quality Management, Prasetiyono Hari Mukti, in his remarks emphasized that the main purpose of this workshop was to provide the latest insight into the development of IEEE Indonesia Section.
He hopes that the conference that is held can make a broader contribution to science and technology science. In addition, he also highlighted the importance of collaboration and innovation in strengthening the network of academics, researchers, and practitioners at the national and international level.
Secretary of IEEE Indonesia Section, Mike Yuliana, added that this activity was part of an effort to improve the quality of the conference. He emphasized that the quality of the conference was very dependent on the quality of the presented .
Therefore, he hopes the organizers can produce scientific works that not only meet academic standards, but also have innovative values and make a real contribution to the advancement of science and technology.
That, Nurhayati, as the EEEEE Committee Quality Management Committee explained that IEEE only received paper in scientific scope in accordance with the scope of IEEE. Topics outside of fields such as tourism, philosophy, art, religion, and spirituality will be immediately rejected.
One of the main challenges of IEEE as a publisher is the selection of the field of science that is worth publishing. He explained that this process includes pre-applications, submission of IEEE OU sponsorship, sending conference applications, preparation of publication, conference implementation, until the post-conference stage.
