Unesa .ac.id - Surabaya East Java Provincial Sports Week VI (Porprov) VI which was officially opened on Saturday July 6 2019 became a prestigious sporting hero printer that was expected to be able to make the nation proud. Opened directly by the Governor of East Java Dra. Hj. Khofifah Indar Parawansa M.Sc. at the Surajaya Lamongan Stadium the activity will take place for 8 days starting from the 6th s.d. July 13 and carried out in 4 districts namely Lamongan Regency Gresik Regency Bojonegoro Regency and Tuban Regency took the theme of "East Java Penetrates the World & rdquo; and has the slogan "East Java Millennial Athlete Towards Peak Achievement."
It is a pride to be one of the athletes who can represent their region progressing to follow this prestigious event. That is what Unesa is currently feeling. Indirectly Unesa has contributed to this prestigious event. Of all the athletes representing their regions in East Java VI Porprov this time there were several athletes who were registered as Unesa students. Call it from the karate sport. The three athletes of the Unesa karate sport representing their region even managed to register their names in the ranks of medal carriers. The three students namely Satrya Kurnia Yanotama (PKO student FIO class of 2017 who is a representative of Bojonegoro Regency) who succeeded in bringing home the gold medal in the +84 kg kumite class Alfan Rizki Fahansyah (Penor student FIO 2017 class who is a representative of 2017 from Jombang Regency) succeeded in bringing home the gold medal in the -67 kg kumite class and Miftahul Jannah (IKOR student FIO class of 2018 who is a representative of Jember Regency) succeeded in bringing home a bronze medal in the individual pi class.
< p> As reported by kumparan.com in the opening speech of Porprov VI East Java Khofifah conveyed his hope namely not only to set new records but also to be able to score athletes who could become sporting heroes who would make the nation proud in the future.In line with that going forward Unesa will strive to be more productive in producing athletes so that they can have a positive impact especially for two nia sports both for Unesa itself for the region and for the State.
