Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA–In improving the quality of education, research and community service, the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) continues to expand its network of cooperation with various parties. Most recently, UNESA signed a memorandum of understanding with the Mojokerto Regency Government on Tuesday (05/10/2021).
The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Bambang Yulianto, M.Pd as Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Agus Hariyanto, M.Kes, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Alumni., and Dr. Sujarwanto, M.Pd Vice Chancellor for Planning and Cooperation. The ranks of UNESA deans also joined the MoU procession. Meanwhile, from the Mojokerto Regency Government, dr. Ikfina Fahmawati, M.Si as the regent and his staff.
Dr. Sujarwanto, M.Pd revealed that UNESA's potential and advantages are worthy of collaboration with various partners. "This MoU is a form of UNESA's commitment to always improve the quality of education, research and human resource development based on the principles of justice, equality, and symbiotic mutualism by strengthening resources between UNESA and the Mojokerto Regency Government," he said.
The direction of the collaboration is to organize various programs in various fields including education, teaching, research, and community service. The goal is to improve human resources at UNESA and Mojokerto.
"We really hope for full support from the Mojokerto district government in realizing quality cooperation in supporting the development of the tri dharma of higher education," said Sujarwanto. He explained, to support this collaboration, UNESA has many scholarships for the best sons and daughters in Mojokerto.
As the regional leader of Mojokerto, Ikfina Fahmawati welcomes and appreciates the various programs and directions of the cooperation. He said that universities are very strategic institutions in an effort to accelerate development in their regions and improve the welfare of the people of Mojokerto and its surroundings. "We certainly hope that this MoU will further strengthen the commitment of the Mojokerto Regency Government and UNESA to continue to take part, work in advancing and improving the welfare of the Mojokerto people," he hoped.
