Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA–Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the DPR-RI on the sidelines of the Forum Group Discussion (FGD) on the Entrepreneurship Law on Friday, May 3, 2022 at the 11th Floor Auditorium of the Rectorate Building, Lidah Wetan Campus, Surabaya.
UNESA Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., said that the collaboration was to strengthen the implementation of entrepreneurship in universities. According to him, entrepreneurship skills must be possessed by students and even lecturers, not only to increase income, but also to open up many job opportunities for others.
“The entrepreneurial sector is one of the important pillars as well as a significant contribution to the nation's economic growth. UNESA, which in the near future will soon become a Law-Based State University, will take part in the entrepreneurship sector," he explained.
To get there, said Cak Hasan, UNESA already has steps. Among them are programming Entrepreneurship courses for every student in each faculty. Students are required to pass the program to prepare them for the future. "Hopefully this collaboration can provide the best solution for the conditions and situation of entrepreneurship in the country so that it will further develop towards a golden Indonesia in 2045," he hoped.
"I want UNESA students not only to become job seekers, but also to be able to open the widest possible employment opportunities and help the community to have increased selling power and welfare," he said.
The Head of the DPR-RI Expertise Board, Dr. Inosentius Samsul, S.H., M.Hum., said that the current collaboration focuses on organizing, reviewing, and evaluating the Constitution on quality entrepreneurship so that it will become a solution for the company concerned in the realm of entrepreneurship.

There are three strategies related to the entrepreneurship bill prepared by the DPR-RI Expertise Board. First, determine the legal politics in it, namely by making the entrepreneurship sector a strong national economic base. Second, develop the development system to a bottom-up status from the previous one with economic status. Third, help reduce the value of poverty and unemployment.
"We don't want to fall into the term middle income trap. Therefore, the main thing that needs to be addressed is the entrepreneurial sector itself, while the concept of being proud to buy Indonesian products requires full commitment and support from every element of society," he said.
The activity was closed with a study of the urgency and subject matter of the regulation of the Bill on National Entrepreneurship in the FGD led by Dra. Anik Lestari Andjarwati., M.M, (Lecturer of the Faculty of Economics and Business UNESA). The material was discussed by 4 speakers, namely Dr. Lidya Suryani Widayati, S.H., M.H., (Head of the Law Drafting Center). Dr. Hananto Widodo., S.H., M.H., (Lecturer of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law UNESA). Prof. Dr. Titik Taufikurohmah, S.Si., M.Sc., (Head of LPPM UNESA Business Incubation Center) and also Dr. Weny Rosdiana, M.Sc., (Lecturer of D4 State Administration and Secretary of UNESA Vocational Program GPM).
