War and determination against drugs must be encouraged, one of which is through education through competitions such as the Crisis Center Mitigation Unit (SMCC) of the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) on 26 June 2022.

Various efforts have been made by the government to combat drug trafficking. Fighting drugs cannot only rely on the government's role. However, it also needs to involve many parties and stakeholders, including universities.
This competition, he continued, is part of UNESA's commitment as a creative and educational effort to make the public, including the younger generation, aware of the dangers of drugs. Ahmad Syahirul Basyir, S.Pd., as the jury from the East Java BNNP said that technology and social media have developed very fast. According to an existing survey, social media users in Indonesia are around 80% of the total population of Indonesia. Technology, especially social media, is like a double-edged sword, it can have both positive and negative impacts. "To the younger generation to be wise in using social media, for example, inviting friends to stay away from drugs," he said.
Responding to audience questions, Ahmad emphasized that drugs are dangerous and can damage all aspects of a person's life. The future is bleak, both physically and psychologically have an impact even to the risk of death. "Those who don't know drugs, don't try it. For those who have fallen, immediately repent and ask for help from related parties so that they are immediately handled through rehabilitation. It's never too late to change for the better. Life is too expensive to be tainted with drugs," he said.
