According to him, being able to enter the top 10 is already very proud for UNESA. Moreover, it rose to the sixth national position.
He added, compared to last year, the increase in UNESA's ranking was very significant. From previously being in the 18th national position, now they have managed to compete in the top 10 and occupy the sixth national ranking. For him, this ranking is very important for institutions in an effort to improve the quality of institutions and the quality of graduates at UNESA.
In SIMKATMAWA, he continued, there are several aspects of institutional documents that must be prepared in SIMKATMAWA; first, MBKM student institutions; second, aspects of facilities and infrastructure; third, aspects of achievement awards; fourth, aspects of human resources (HR); fifth, the financing aspect.
Meanwhile, several aspects of concern are non-competition MBKM activities such as; student exchanges, humanitarian projects, research, internships and work practices, entrepreneurship, independent projects, state defense activities and village projects. "Alhamdulillah, this year our students are very enthusiastic and creative and are actively involved in all these activities," he said at UNESA on Sunday (12/12/21).
One of the student activities involved in building the village is carried out by several groups of thematic KKN students in Mojokerto Regency. One of their programs is reforestation in several areas of the People's Forest Park (Tahura) by planting thousands of tree seedlings there. The program is fully supported by universities and local governments to districts who are present to plant seeds together.
Then, there is another that is still running, namely the KKN group based in Surabaya, which is running the Arek Suroboyo Education Village program. In addition, he continued, there are also other student programs such as community economic empowerment, disaster mitigation and trauma healing, ecotourism, and many more.
"Indeed, from the beginning we encouraged students to go into the field. Try to find out what the problems are in the village, what is needed in the villages and find out how to solve them. We make it a habit for students to be pioneers, movers and carriers of change," he said. He hopes that this ranking will motivate UNESA, its lecturers, students and leaders to continue to improve their rankings in the future. [UNESA PR]
