UNESA.AC.ID,- SURABAYA– Bambang Dwi Hartono officially chairs the UNESA Alumni Family Association (IKA). The former mayor of Surabaya for two terms was elected by acclamation to become General Chair of the Surabaya State University Alumni Association (UNESA) for the 2024-2029 term through the UNESA Alumni Association (IKA) Central Conference (Muspus) which took place on Friday. January 5 2024 at the Unesa Auditorium, Lidah Wetan Campus.
In the Muspus event, it was recorded that of the thirteen IKA Commissioners and Branch representatives who had voting rights, 12 representatives unanimously proposed Bambang DH as a candidate for general chairman of IKA UNESA, 1 branch representative does not use his voting rights, but supports whoever is elected.
"So, can Muspus participants approve Mr. Bambang DH as General Chair of IKA UNESA for the 2024-2029 period?" asked the chairman of the session, who was greeted with a unanimous shout of agreement.

“I thank you that Muspus is running very well, and thank you for the trust given by the Muspus participants. "Right now, let's work together to advance IKA UNESA and UNESA with a spirit of togetherness and mutual cooperation," said the man who is now a member of the Republic of Indonesia's DPR.
Bambang revealed that UNESA alumni have extraordinary potential. They have provided color and real contributions to development on a regional, national and international scale. Of course, this is important and valuable capital for IKA UNESA and UNESA.
"We must of course optimize all of the alumni's potential through this IKA UNESA forum so that we can work together to continue to further raise the name of UNESA and IKA members UNESA. "Let's build the success of IKA UNESA together with a plan," he said.
As an alumnus who has worked in both the executive and legislative branches, Bambang also invites IKA UNESA to participate in helping through the various potentials it has for bringing UNESA and Indonesia even better. "There should be no factions between alumni, because we only have one faction, namely the UNESA faction," he said, greeted by applause from the participants.
For Bambang, the mission is more important than just a position. This means that any position must be based on a mission of benefit for IKA UNESA, UNESA as an institution, and for other parties.
"Because I have been encouraged to be here (to become Chair of IKA), let's be together "Together, we build with full commitment to realize the mission of the IKA UNESA organization for the benefit," he added.
Meanwhile, the election of Bambang DH received a positive response from UNESA Chancellor Prof Dr Nurhasan. The Chancellor, who is familiarly called Cak Hasan, hopes that IKA UNESA under the leadership of Bambang DH can achieve good cooperation and synergy for the progress of UNESA.
"Pak Bambang is a humble, intelligent, experienced and dedicated person. "So, I think it is very appropriate that he finally gained the trust of the Muspus participants to lead this IKA UNESA," said Cak Hasan, who is also an alumnus of the Unesa Faculty of Sports Sciences.
Similarly, another Unesa alumnus, Dr Muhammad Sholeh, M.Pd, who is also the Director of Student and Alumni Affairs, appreciated the election of Bambang DH as Chair of IKA UNESA for the 2024-2029 period. He considers Bambang DH to be the right person because apart from having a lot of experience, his character can also be a unifying figure.
