This year the Faculty of Language and Arts (FBS) Unesa has the honor of hosting the Coordination Meeting of the Association of Indonesian Institute of Cultural Sciences and Literature (ILMIBSI) V. A total of 109 delegation participants from all campuses who possessed a group of cultural and literary sciences in Indonesia had come to the event. This activity lasted for five days starting 18 November 22 2013. Various series of events were packaged in the activity titled "Sawunggaling Muda Cultural Camp". The theme raised was to build the spirit of the nations youth in a culture of character. The series of events are the Hero Talkshow Cultural Cangkruk Cultural Tourism Acoustic and Theatrical Parades Student Film Festival Film Workshop Film Workshop Art Bazaar Reading and Surgery Poetry Against Corruption Poetry Night and Exhibition of Music Music Parade FBS Community Stage Ludruk Campus Delegation Performing Arts Stand Up Comedy Performing Art Monologue. National figures presented at the cultural camp were Sujiwo Tedjo and Zawawi Imron. They were presented to be speakers in one of the activity sessions. Prof. Dr. Setya Yuwana M.A. Dean of FBS Unesa explained that this activity is very good because it can foster fraternity among tertiary institutions that have study programs or majors in cultural and literary sciences throughout Indonesia. "Building the spirit of the nations youth in a culture of character is a theme that is appropriate for the development of youth today especially youth are the next generation of the nation" he added on the sidelines of the opening ILMIBSI V. "As a young generation of the Indonesian nation we must equip ourselves with creativity innovation intelligence and skills. If in our beloved country all young people can have these criteria Im sure Indonesia will be able to compete with other countries. Indonesian youth can certainly do it because youth are people who have a burning passion in their daily lives and always create their best works. It was as manifested in the motto of Unity in Diversity " said Zawawi Imron. Meanwhile with his eccentric appearance Sujiwo Tedjo conveyed his ideas about character. He stressed that the character is not just a different appearance from others but that the character is something clear and distinctive that is in each person. At the opening of the event Untung Chairperson of BEM FBS also advised that we as young generation can become the driving force of Indonesia because youth are the next generation who are ready to be the foundation of the glory of this country. "Participants who have come from various regions in Indonesia namely Mulawarman University (Unmul) Samarinda Padjadjaran University (Unpad) Bandung University of North Sumatra (USU) Medan University of Indonesia (UI) Depok-Jakarta STKIP PGRI Pontianak Khairun University (Khairun University (Khairun University) Unkhair) Ternate Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) Bali Gadjah Mada University (UGM) Yogyakarta Airlangga University (Unair) Surabaya and there are still many participants who are heading to the Tongue campus " he said when confirmed by Unesa PR reporter.
