
UNESA and UteM are ready to build research and innovation collaboration.
Unesa.ac.id. SURABAYA—The International Commercialization and Downstreaming Division of PUIPT-OP DIC Surabaya State University (UNESA) is branding research products at SEAMEO-SEN and Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), on 9-12 December 2024.
At UTeM , UNESA delegation led by Deputy Chancellor III for Research, Innovation, Rankings, Publications and Science Center, Bambang Sigit Widodo, in order to strengthen relations while introducing DIC research focus and products.
The aim is to build international research collaboration in the field of inclusion focusing on communication, assistive technology and work networks.
After DIC UNESA and UTeM presented their research products to each other, the UNESA delegation offered research collaboration in this field. This offer received a positive response from UTeM through the research deputy.
"UTeM's Deputy Reset, Prof. Muhammad Zainal Abidin Abd Aziz, stated that he agreed to carry out research collaboration in the field of inclusive assistive technology with a win-win fanding format," said Bambang Sigit Widodo.

The research products we describe among them, Signalong Indonesia communication signal and its derivative products, namely bigbooks DRRE, assistive technology products, especially Quran Virtual Reality QVR, and the JobDis work network.
Apart from that, DIC UNESA also socializes and commercializes DIC products for the Southeast Asia region through activities at SEAMEO-SEN. Together with these parties, preparations for the DIC international symposium which will be held in January 2025 were also discussed.
After the product presentation, SEAMEO-SEN was interested in UNESA's DIC products. The Director of SEAMEO-SEN agreed to help socialize and promote DIC products to SEAMEO-SEN members in Southeast Asia.
"They also agreed to be co-hosts in holding a symposium for the Southeast Asia region," said the lecturer whose home base is at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Fisipol).
UNESA's collaboration with SEAMEO SEN and UTeM not only supports the development of inclusive technology, but also provides broad benefits for the disabled community, teaching staff and policy makers in the Southeast Asia region.[*]
