Unesa.ac.id., SURABAYA--A total of 10 students from various study programs and faculties at Surabaya State University (UNESA) took part in the student exchange program in Saekyung College, South Korea, some time ago.
The UNESA Global Mobility Awards (UGMA) program is a student exchange activity that aims to provide academic experience in destination countries, including South Korea.
While there, students explore and learn the language and culture of Ginseng Country, both on and off campus. Their activities include Korean language lectures and various academic classes such as taekwondo, nursing, information technology, hotel cooking, etc.

Wulan Patria Saroinsong, S.Psi., M.Pd., Ph.D, lecturer who accompanied the students for one week there, said that this activity aims to improve students' Korean language skills, cultural insight, soft skills and international networks.
"This program offers the opportunity to learn Korean, take academic experience classes, and explore South Korean culture. Benefits include the experience of studying and living abroad, increasing competitiveness, and expanding your network of friends and relations," said Wulan.
Guest Lecturer at Saekyung College
Apart from accompanying students, Wulan Patria Saroinsong, who is a lecturer at the Faculty of Education (FIP), is also a Guest lecturer for art therapy and psychotherapy courses at Saekyung College.
"Apart from being a lecturer, I already have a certificate of expertise in this field, so had the opportunity to give guest lectures there. This field can help students solve their problems, manage emotions and stress," he explained.
Dimas Mega Nanda, one of the students involved in the UGMA program, said that this program was very effective for him. "With this program, apart from being able to realize my desire to study in another country, I can also learn and broaden my experience and insight."
"When I arrived in Korea, I was able to experience the environment and people that were similar to those in Korea. drama. I also have the experience of experiencing Korean culture directly in the country. I think this kind of experience is very valuable," said Dimas.[]
