Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA–In the framework of Banchmarking the New Student Admissions Partnership Program, the University of Jember (Unej) visited the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) on Friday, January 21, 2022. The Unej delegation was welcomed by the ranks of the UNESA Admissions Unit, BAKPK, and UPT Humas at the UNESA Rectorate Building, Lidah Wetan Campus , Surabaya.
The Deputy Coordinator of PKIH Public Relations, Unej, Rokhmad Hidayanto expressed his gratitude to UNESA for warmly receiving Unej's ranks. He added that the purpose of the visit was to find out and share related to the pattern of new student admissions, especially the partnership route.
“We have just upgraded to PTN-BLU, therefore we want to dig up a lot of information about the new student admission system, especially the partnership pathway at UNESA. In the future, we have a discourse on opening a partnership route as well,” he said.
Rokhmad continued, for the partnership path, each campus has its own characteristics. Therefore, before opening the route, his party wanted to know in advance how it is comprehensively managed in each campus. "Therefore, the results of this comparative study can be an important reference for us," he said.
Head of the New Student Admissions Division of the UNESA Admissions Unit, Awang Dharmawan, S.I.Kom., M.A., said that in this year's new student admissions, UNESA plans to increase the quota. The goal is to provide opportunities for the best sons and daughters of the region to study at UNESA.
In addition, UNESA also opens many registration routes. Among them, the partnership path. This path is a path of cooperation or there is an MoU between UNESA and the local government. "The East Kalimantan Provincial Government and Magetan Regency are collaborating on a partnership route and it is already running," explained Awang.
As stated by the Head of Public Relations, Vinda Maya Setianingrum, S.Sos., M.A., partnership programs must be supported by good socialization and promotion. In addition, he also cooperates with the public relations of each local government to coordinate and local media to assist in the publication of the program.
