UNESA.AC.id . SURABAYA - Internship program which is part of Merdeka Learning Merdeka Campus (MBKM) is a blessing for Muhammad Badar Haula Abdi. Student D-4 Information Management, Faculty of Vocational , Surabaya State University (Unesa) that did not only succeed From his dream to be able to study abroad. He wants to get work experience in the global scope.
"One of my biggest dreams is studying abroad. When there is an internship opportunity in Saudi Arabia, I am immediately interested because this is a great opportunity to add insight, relationships, and work experience," said Haula.
The golden opportunity for Haula came through an overseas internship program. When hearing there was an internship offer at the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, without thinking, Haula immediately tried his best in order to pass the selection.
This 2022 class student chose Riyadh as a place to gain knowledge, because this city is the capital of Saudi Arabia, which is the center of government and diplomacy. He received placement at the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh on the function of lighting and socio -cultural. He is responsible for managing social media and making Setup Recording Podcast using software OBs.
Haula is very happy with the work environment at the Indonesian Embassy in Riyadh. One of the most memorable moments for Haula when he had the opportunity to interact with Indonesian diplomats who worked in Saudi Arabia.
That experience gave him a real picture of the importance of diplomacy and inter-state relations. In addition, he also felt very grateful for being able to perform Umrah twice during the internship program. Week later. This time, he and other apprenticeship friends traveled back to Makkah. Haula revealed, the two experiences gave him a moment of deep self -reflection.
Haula's journey was certainly not easy. Haula acknowledged many challenges faced. He had difficulty adapting, especially with extreme temperature conditions in Riyadh.
The experience of the internship has given many valuable lessons for Haula. He learned to appreciate more time, be professional, and always work in totality in every task given.
In the future, Haula has a big dream to continue his S2 study at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He also aspires to return to Riyadh as part of the staff of the Indonesian Embassy.
"I want to contribute more to Indonesia, especially in diplomacy and international relations. This internship experience is my first step to realize the dream," Haula said enthusiastically. [*]
