Certificate of The National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT) and Decree

Accreditation is a designation and a process. As a designation, it serves as public recognition that an institution has met accepted standards of quality. As a process, it demonstrates an ongoing commitment to self-study and external peer review. These complementary assessments affirm that quality standards are being met and that the excellence of an UNESA education is continually enhanced.
UNESA has been achieved The National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT), it is the only accreditation body authorized by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia in improving the quality ofhigher education, introducing and disseminating the "New Paradigm in The Management of Higher Education", and increasing the relevance, academic atmosphere, institutional management, efficiency and sustainability of higher education.

ASIIN

ASIIN (Akkreditierungsagentur für Studiengänge der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik, der Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematik) is an international accreditation body originating from Germany for disciplines in engineering, mathematics and science, agriculture, biology.
The ASIIN criteria for accrediting study programmes are subject to critical revision on a regular basis and are adapted to current developments and findings from accreditation practice. The version effective at the time of the beginning of the accreditation procedure – which is the signing of the contract for the procedure – is the version to be applied.
Quality improvement in the field of higher education continues to be encouraged by the Universitas Negeri Surabaya. The dream to become a world-class university is also continuously realized in various forms of quality improvement and achievement, especially quality commitment in the learning process, academic mobility, research, and community empowerment. Therefore, Unesa strives to achieve international accreditation in order to meet global standards in the provision of superior knowledge workers in the future.
Based on Announcement No. 1167/E2/TU/2020 dated June 2, 2020, five Study Programs at FMIPA Unesa received grants facilitating international accreditation of ASIIN from the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs, Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture. The five study programs are: (1) S1 Biology Education; (2) S1 Physics Education; (3) S1 Chemistry Education; (4) S1 Mathematics Education; and (5) S1 Science Education. Then the five Study Programs compiled a Self-Assessment Report (SAR) to meet all the requirements set by the accreditation body based in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The Agency for Quality Assurance through Accreditation of Study Programs (AQAS) is an independent non-profit organization dedicated for the accreditation of higher education institutions in Germany. It is supported by more than 80 member institutions, both higher education institutions as well as academic associations.
Additionally, as a form of sustainability, the mission of the program of the Rector is to achieve global recognition through ASIIN and AQAS international accreditation in 2020. For this reason, the support of all parties, especially the entire academic community of Universitas Negeri Surabaya, is highly expected so that the implementation of the program can run accordingly.
