Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-Talent must continue to be honed, one of which is by participating in various competitions. That's what Dianty Putri Bintari did. The undergraduate student in German Language Education, Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS) UNESA demonstrated her skills in the 'Photo-und Schreibwettbewerb' competition throughout ASIA organized by Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdients (DAAD).
He won second place in the competition. The competition, which was participated by participants from several countries, was intended to find German language students who were talented in expressing their thoughts and ideas about the state of Asian society through photos and writing.
The student from Sidoarjo explained that the competition process began with a preliminary round for the top 30 works from many participants from Indonesia, China, Taiwan, Usbeskistan and Vietnam. Selected photos and stories are uploaded on the organizer's social media. After the assessment and the results are immediately announced.
It turned out that, in the announcement list, Dianty Putri's name was in the second category of publicist opinion. "Not to mention, it turns out that I won second place. Duh, happy and thank God," he said.
The photos that are included in the competition are the result of 'hunting' around the Blauran market in Surabaya. Including interview data for writing materials were also obtained from several sources there, including pedicab drivers and sellers in the market. Initially he wrote in Indonesian and then translated into German.
During the process of making Dianty Putri's work, she was guided by an academic supervisor (DPA) who corrected and provided input before being submitted to the committee. He hopes that the champion can be a motivation for him to continue to make achievements in the future. "My target in the future is to participate in the competition at least twice each semester and hopefully it will be facilitated," he said.
For him, there is no stopping to learn and develop himself. Learning is lifelong. Working is part of self-development. He hopes that his efforts and achievements can be a motivation for him and others. [UNESA PR]
