Unesa.ac.id .., Surabaya-Surabaya University (Unesa) (SOD) Festival organizes educational activities titled Sounds of Downtown Goes to Campus .
The activity that carries the theme "Learn to Create, Dare to Lead" took place in the Auditorium D1 Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), UNESA Campus 1 Ketintang, on Wednesday (11/6/2025).
This event presents Yoshel Ramlie as the Head of Marketing & Partnership of the Sod Festival as a resource. On that occasion, students gained insight into the management of creative events, ranging from research, program design.
Also related to branding, marketing strategies, sponsorship, to the management of the audience and partners. The material presented is expected to expand the knowledge of students related to the creative industry, especially in the field of event management and marketing.
President of BEM UNESA, M. La Rayba Fie in his remarks expressed his appreciation for the intertwined collaboration. He considered this activity as an important first step in presenting usefulness programs for Unesa students.
"This activity is a good first step in presenting programs that are beneficial for students. I hope that such cooperation continues so that students have more space to develop their potential," he said.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson, Qiara Azzahra hopes that this activity can have a positive impact and broad benefit.
"I hope this activity has a positive impact and can become a learning space as well as an opportunity for students to get to know the creative industry world directly from professionals," he said.
This activity is part of a series of roadshow education sounds of downtown goes to campus which targets a number of universities in Surabaya before heading to the main festival in August.
To note, Sounds of Downtown itself is one of the largest music and cultural festivals in East Java, which is often referred to as the Synchronize Fest East Java because it presents various cross-genre musicians and other creative programs.
