
Students of the 'BONEK UNESA' program explain their products and business innovations in front of participants, partners and visitors. This activity not only introduces products and businesses, but also convinces business investors.
Unesa.ac.id. , SURABAYA—Students of the UNESA Entrepreneurship Bootcamp program or 'UNESA Bonek' displayed various products and business innovations at the Demo Day held at The Trans Icon Mall Surabaya on Saturday-Sunday, 14-15 December 2024.
The activity with the theme "Creating a Golden Indonesia 2045" featured 20 exhibition booths with superior products from students participating in the 'UNESA Bonek' program. Students have the opportunity to present product ideas and business innovations to partners and visitors.
Head of Sub-Directorate for Student Exchange and Academic Mobility (PMMA), M. Jacky, said that this Demo Day is not only an exhibition of student work, but also a a place to train entrepreneurial skills, as well as contribute to creating a young generation that is ready to face future challenges.
"Hopefully with this activity, students can be motivated to develop creative business ideas that are not only of economic value, but also have a positive impact on society." he hopes.
Director of Educational Transformation and Learning Technology (TPTP) UNESA, Fida Rachmadiarti in her speech emphasized the importance of starting a business at a young age and building a sustainable startup.
"This activity is the first step for students to instill an entrepreneurial spirit. "Hopefully the businesses that are started will not only stop with this program, but will continue to be developed until they become independent, sustainable and competitive businesses," he said.
Demo day presents a booth that is a place to showcase creative business ideas which is designed based on solutions to various community needs, ranging from food and beverage products, handicrafts, to technological innovation.
One of the works that attracted attention was the innovation of Bonek 14 program students, who succeeded in designing a website called Artby.
Website This is designed as an interactive platform that aims to help children with special needs develop their talents and interests through guidance from experienced tutors.

Artby was developed as an inclusive creative space for children with special needs. “We want to provide equal opportunities for them to learn, create and develop according to their talents. Hopefully this platform can become solutions that are widely useful," said Triya Abida Kolis, one of the Bonek 14 team members.
Apart from the exhibition, this event was also filled with business presentations from participants who explained the concepts and advantages of their businesses in front of investors. In this session, the students were not only tested on their presentation skills but also on the creativity and innovation implemented in their business models.
On the second day, the series of events closed with a special performance from the Noname Band which successfully enlivened the atmosphere and provided entertainment for participants and visitors. The closing event was also filled with awards to participants who won the best presentation, most inspired social media and most creative booth categories.[*]
