Unesa.ac.id, Surabaya – Today (23/11), Unesa Rector, Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., was also present at the Opening of the Lecturer Competency Training and Test held by the East Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry (hereinafter referred to as Kadin). Besides Prof. Nurhasan, Chairman of the Indonesia Regional Leadership Council, AA La Nyalla Mahmud Mattalitti, Chairman of the East Java Kadin, Adik Dwi Putranto, and Director of the East Java Kadin Institute, Nurul also attended the activities held at the East Java Kadin Building, Graha Family. This activity is the implementation of the collaboration between Unesa and East Java Kadin in producing high quality human resources.
In his remarks, Cak Hasan (Prof. Nurhasan's nickname) conveyed that this kind of training activity is very necessary, especially to provide provisions for lecturers in giving instruction to students. "Increasing the competence of lecturers and teachers are mandatory," he said.
Cak Hasan also emphasized that higher education is closely related to research. Therefore, there must be special attention in the field of research. Efforts are needed to produce high quality research in order to contribute to the progress of the nation. "To develop future research, we must be one step ahead of other universities," said Cak Hasan.
Cak Hasan also emphasized the importance of upgrading the competencies of stakeholders. The aim is to produce qualified lecturers and instructors who are considered worthy of being involved in this kind of training. Therefore, Cak Hasan always supports and motivates Unesa lecturers to be able to establish themselves as part of a qualified human resource producer who is able to make positive contributions in the progress of the nation. "Hopefully, through this kind of training, we can rise together and head for a better Indonesia," concluded Cak Hasan. (ay)
