Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA - Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) continue to socialize Permendikbudristek No. 30 of 2021 concerning the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (PPKS) in Higher Education to the entire academic community in stages. The socialization was carried out by the PPKS Task Force together with DPM targeting faculties, on February 24, 2021 it was the turn of the Faculty of Education (FIP).
Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni FIP UNESA, Heryanto Susilo, S.Pd., M.Pd. said that Permendikbudristek No. 30 of 2021 is a legal umbrella for all the academic community, from students, lecturers to staff whose nature is to protect against matters related to sexual violence.
“Sexual violence does not only occur physically, but can also be non-physical. Therefore, there is a need for an explanation of these regulations so that students, lecturers and others can understand. We don't need to be afraid anymore because based on the rules there is a clear legal umbrella," he explained.
Iman Pasu Marganda Hadiarto Purba, S.H., M.H., from the UNESA PPKS Task Force said that the Permendikbudristek regulates everything about sexual violence, starting from prevention, handling and also around sanctions against perpetrators. "This rule can be said as a code of ethics and guidelines for us to prevent, handle, and follow up on sexual violence that occurs in the university environment," he said.
In the presentation session, Iman Pasu Marganda Hadiarto Purba and Sjafiatul Mardliyah, S.Sos., M.A conveyed the definition, types of sexual violence, sanctions, victim recovery procedures, implementation of Perkemdikbudristek, to the main tasks of the UNESA PPKS Task Force.
