"Hopefully this championship will produce athletes who excel and are able to compete in "National and international levels. During these three days, hopefully it will produce sportsmanship matches and give a positive impression and impact to each athlete involved," he said.
There are several categories being contested in this international karate match, namely individual kata, team kata and kumite which are divided into open and festival classes with class boundaries ranging from pre-early age to senior.
This category will produce athletes who are reliable according to their abilities. This competition competes for the chancellor's trophy and prizes worth tens of millions of rupiah. This activity, which is attended by more than 6 countries, is held for 3 days in a row to select and compete the best athletes from each team.
Muhammad Bintang Putra Dewa, chief organizer, said that this championship was the first time it had been held internationally. Of course, for an event of this magnitude, careful preparation is needed from long ago.
"Because this involves many categories, even at an early age, of course the aim is to instill a sportsmanlike competitive spirit in athletes and familiarize them with the competitive atmosphere from an early age. That way, they can become athletes who will be favored in the future," said the student from the Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences (FIKK).
