Unesa.ac.id, SURABAYA-Motor vehicle tax payment services are now available on campus through the Campus Samsat program launched by the Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa with a number of university leaders including the State University of Surabaya (UNESA) at Unair on Monday, April 4, 2022.
Campus Samsat is the first and only motor vehicle tax payment (PKB) service innovation in the university environment in Indonesia. As a first step, this service is opened in 75 campuses.
"To date, there are 75 universities that have collaborated with us in opening the Campus Samsat," said Khofifah at the launch event.
Khofifah explained, the service innovation is an initiation as well as a form of attention from the East Java Provincial Government in providing convenience for taxpayers, especially in the campus environment to make motor vehicle tax payments quickly, easily and closely.
In addition, to support the development of cooperative businesses in each university. "This opening is an expansion of PPOB (Payment Point Online Banking, ed). This expansion is important for us to ensure that public services within the East Java Provincial Government are easier, cheaper and accessible on various fronts," said Khofifah.
The governor hopes that the Campus Samsat can provide strengthening aspects of public service support for all people in East Java. “Thank you for the welcome from universities, both public and private. Of course we hope that in particular we can synergize with all cooperatives in universities in East Java," said Khofifah.

Open Samsat Corner
Meanwhile, UNESA Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nurhasan, M.Kes., who was with the governor at the location stated that the 'campus of the champions' was ready to implement the new service program. This is no longer a plan, but UNESA has started to implement it, one of which is through the opening of the Samsat Corner service at the Lidah Wetan Campus which was launched with the ranks of the East Java Bapenda and East Java Bank in the Rector's Lobby, Monday, April 4, 2022.
“Earlier this morning, the soft launching of Samsat Corner was just at the UNESA Tongue and Kocika Campus with Bapenda and Bank Jatim. This is a form of our commitment and collaboration in supporting the Governor's program and service innovation towards an advanced and superior East Java," he said.
The Samsat Corner service is located on the north side of Jalan Kampus Unesa in the direction of CitraLand. Precisely located at the UNESA Entrepreneurship Laboratory.
