INFIRMATION: Fisipol new students take part in PKKMB at Campus 1 Ketintang. In this program, they get a lot of provisions and motivation from various figures and officials.
Unesa. AC ID. SURABAYA--A total of 1,839 new students are starting a new chapter as part of the extended family of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Fisipol) Surabaya State University (UNESA). They took part in the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) at Fisipol, Campus 1 Ketintang, since Tuesday, August 20 2024.
The Dean of Fisipol, Wiwik Sri Utami, said, PKKMB is intended so that new students can understand and quickly adapting to the lecture system and environment at the faculty which is intensively carrying out massive transformation.
"Campus life is different from school, therefore students must take advantage of college opportunities to develop abilities, gain experience and strengthen skillsets," he said.
The Dean hopes that PKKMB will not only provide information about the lecture system, but can also be an important provision for students both in terms of mental and ability aspects. "Hopefully the sense of responsibility as a student will be increasingly fostered, and we can collaborate to achieve achievements," he added.
PKKMB Fisipol is packaged in various forms of outreach activities to discussions and inspirational talk shows. They also presented a number of figures as speakers, such as Fuad Bernardi, member of the East Java DPRD; Armuji, Deputy Mayor of Surabaya; Wijaya, Content Creator; and Hendy Setiono, CEO and Founder of Baba Rafi.
Fuad Bernardi on that occasion motivated Fisipol students to become the nation's generation who contribute to society and the country. "In order to contribute, of course students must learn and gain experience, work and innovate," said the son of the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini.
Armuji said the same thing, the pride of being a student lies in the opportunity to learn, not only to become smart, but also to strengthen all the abilities needed for a career and the future of this nation. "Who else will be the leaders in the future, if not you. Therefore study and learn," he said.
Raja Ugi Hati Easter, a new student from Blitar, expressed his joy at being part of the big UNESA Fisipol family. He said that the adaptation process in Surabaya was not easy even though it was still in the East Java region. "Adaptation in Surabaya is not easy. The accent and busyness of this city are quite confusing, but the enthusiasm for learning and getting to know new environments remains high," said Raja.[]
