Unesa.ac.id. Surabaya-There are many ways that can be done to help others. One of them can go through the Friday Blessing program as held by The State University of Surabaya on Friday in front of the gate of Unesa Lidah Wetan. On Friday, March 19, 2021 Unesa again distributed 300 rice boxes to residents and road users.
The rice package assistance is a donation from Unesa Learning Laboratory (ULALA) and HRV Club. The donation was directly distributed by unesa's Crisis Center Mitigation Unit (SMCC) Team to residents and road users in the morning and after Friday prayers. For next week, Berkah Unesa Friday will be held in Unesa Ketintang.
Dr. Diana Rahmasari, S.Psi., M.Si., chairman of SMCC Unesa said that the Jumat Berkah program is one of Unesa's endeavors in helping others. Especially during the pandemic, he continued, many are experiencing economic problems due to the impact of Covid-19. "The help is not much, but we want to show that the concern must continue to be blazed to help others," he said.
Sri Usodoningtyas, the manager of Unesa Learning Laboratory also explained that the rice package distributed is processed ULALA Cafe. It is intended to maximize unesa's own products. In addition, so that Unesa products can be felt and enjoyed by the public.
"If unesa has the potential to provide itself why should wear the outside," he said. "Clearly we want to maximize the potential to provide the best for the community," concluded the woman who is also the head of unesa's Professional Certification Center.
Meanwhile, Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Agus Hariyanto, M.Kes., said that unesa program sharing through Friday blessings is a form of empathy to others. "Civitas academic Unesa must be a light-handed person in sharing and serving the country," he said.
Agus hopes that the spirit of sharing and collaboration continues to be spread to all. By sharing and collaboration, all issues can be resolved. "May all academic community and all other Indonesian people be blessed with grace, sustenance and kept away from all kinds of diseases by Allah SWT," he hoped. "To the brothers, we keep reminding again to always obey health protocols, remain obedient 3M and behave clean and healthy life. That's important and should always be applied in everyday life," he continued. (Pr. Unesa)
